Psiphon is a set of technologies that use a combination of secure communication and obfuscation to defeat network censorship systems.  All Psiphon software is open source  and designed to circumvent  politically-motivated Internet censorship in countries where such censorship is extra-legally enforced.
Psiphon  is not designed  for  strong anonymity, avoidance of copyright, or to allow users to  share pirated software,  unlicensed audiovisual material, or to access illegal content such as child pornography.  We are governed by the laws of Canada, and abide  by best practices in ensuring user safety and privacy.
Psiphon inc  develops and maintains the Psiphon codebase and builds and operates  cloud-based content delivery systems for clients that include the British Broadcasting Corporation, Voice of America, Radio Free Asia, and Radio Farda as well as dozens of online newspapers journals and civil society groups worldwide.
Psiphon’s  award-winning  architecture offers  instant access to rich multimedia content without sacrificing user experience. Just click and surf.

Psiphon believe  the Internet should be a global commons. In the past year  the Internet has become a contested space. More and more states practice controls over content including shutting it off at times of  political unrest.
That’s why we designed Psiphon as open source software.  We encourage everyone to download and build your own Psiphon server. If you are a developer, help make our software better, more secure, and easier to use.
